About Me

Welcome! My name is Gianna Fernandez. I have a background in operations, human resources, and social media content creation.  I am, first and foremost, a passionate writer looking to grow in my professional career.

I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s degree at University of Central Florida with areas of specialty being Communications and Creative Writing. I have previous publications in The Miami Herald, The Mighty (a website that fuses topics mental health and wellness), and an indie publication I founded that focuses on mental health, wellness, and parenting. I won a college scholarship for piece I wrote for a writing competition Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was hosting in 2014 as well.

Though I am still very early in my professional writing career, I am eagerly seeking ways to grow as a creative writer and journalist. I focus on adding a detail oriented, creative, clear, and authentic voice to any piece I write. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
